Alkaline Zinc Plating
Non-Cyanide Alkaline Zinc plating Technology is the fastest growing segment of Zinc plating industry. Alkaline Zinc has many advantages and are much superior to Cyanide zinc. Cyanide free - Non-poisonous-toxic. Reduced cost of waste treatment. Covering and throwing power is superior than other zinc plating process. Vastly improved corrosion resistance. Free of complexing agents.
The process involves immersing the metal substrate, typically steel or iron, into an alkaline electrolyte bath containing zinc oxide, sodium hydroxide, and other additives. The electrolyte bath is usually maintained at elevated temperatures, typically between 60 to 90 degrees Celsius (140 to 194 degrees Fahrenheit), to facilitate plating efficiency and produce a more uniform coating.
